Dear Parishioners.
Today’s readings speak about God’s plan for us. God called us from the beginning to live in harmony, in unity with Him and among ourselves.
Since the beginning God had a project for us. He wanted to share with us his fatherhood and motherhood. He created us out of love and from that love He enable us to love like Him and to be open to new life. He created us, men and women, with the same dignity and identity; with the same capacity to love one another like Him.
The first reading and the Gospel tell us about that promise. It consists of Harmony, Unity, Respect, Dignity, Equality, among us who are His most precious creation.
God loved the world so much that gave his only Son (John 3:16). The same message is expressed in today’s reading from Hebrews. Jesus came into this world to be an expression of this Love for us. He entered this earth to make God’s love visible to us. Out of that great love He died for all humanity because his purpose was “to bring a great many of his children into glory” in doing this he has secured salvation for all (Hebrews 2). Jesus calls us brothers and sisters because we belong to his family “part of the same stock”. Imagine! What a profound truth of our faith!
I invite you this week to pray and to believe what the psalmist says: “May the Lord bless us all the days of our life”. God is with us every day. He accompanies us. He walks with us.
May Mary our Mother help us to increase our faith and hope in Him.
God bless you,
Anabel Gonzalez, FMVD
