15th SUNDAY YEAR C
The divine law is not meant to enslave us or to make us feel guilty. The law is giving by God out of His love for us to make us perfect and to make us remain to our original states. (All that God created were good). We are to embrace the Law as a special gift of God, to guide us in our relationship with God and all God’s creatures.
Jesus Christ in the Gospel, gave a vivid example of how to put the law of God into practical usage. The Samaritans, who is a hated enemy of the Jews, did not pay back with hates, but with compassion and love.
The law of God, which is all about the Love of God and the Love of our neighbour, has no boundary and it has no social definitions. To practice the law is to act with love and compassion toward another. We should treat God’s creation and creatures with equal love and compassion.
Today we are called to duty, to put God’s love to practice, by showing equal and unconditional love to all humanity. There is no room for discrimination in any forms.
As an image of the image of the invisible God, we must continue the good work of creation, through the spreading of God’s love to those who come our ways on daily basis. Thus like Jesus through our love we can give life to our dying world.
