33RD SUNDAY OF ORDINARY TIME 16TH NOVEMBER 2025

This signifies victory over death, the beginning of the new covenant, and the establishment of God’s Kingdom in a spiritual sense.

His Second Coming: This is the future arrival, at the end of time, is a promise of completion. It represents the ultimate fulfilment of God’s plan, the final judgment, and the establishment of a new heaven and a new earth.

As we celebrate the resurrection of Christ, we should be active in our faith, carrying out our daily tasks and looking to the future in hope, for Christ second coming.  A good Christian Living means that we should be diligent and working, not idle and waiting. This counter a passive interpretation of faith, we Christians should engage in God’s Work: This work might involve acts of service, spreading the Gospel, loving others, seeking justice, and living a life that reflects Christ’s teachings.

To do these we God’s grace and divine guidance, this can be achieved through ongoing spiritual growth, study of scripture, prayer, and ethical living.

Christians should be very conscious of False Prophets. We should be critical of those who,

“Prioritize Earthly Wealth” false prophets who use their “ministries” for personal gain, focusing on material possessions rather than spiritual truth.

These “prophets” manipulate, deceive, or offer distorted messages to gain influence and wealth, leading people astray from genuine faith.

Today’s readings’ is a call to action. It inspires Christians to: Live with hope and anticipation for Christ’s future return.  We should actively participate in God’s work in the present.

We should discern truth from falsehood and avoid being misled by those who prioritize wealth and self-promotion over authentic faith.

We should be steadfast and faithful, knowing that our labour in the Lord is not in vain, and they are preparing for the ultimate return of Jesus Christ. Let us pray for the Spirit of discernment and for true faith in God. May God open the eyes of our minds to see and know Him more dearly.
