My Dearest Parishioners,
As the lights of Bethlehem twinkle in our hearts and minds this Christmas, I find myself overwhelmed with a profound sense of gratitude for each and every one of you. This sacred season, meant to be a time of joy and reflection, is made even more special by the incredible community we share here.
This year has, as all years do, brought its share of joys and sorrows. To those of you who have recently lost beloved ones, your pain is felt deeply within our parish family. We hold you close in our prayers this Christmas, trusting that the Prince of Peace, born this night, offers solace and comfort. May the memories of your loved ones be a source of enduring strength and a reminder of the love that transcends even the deepest grief. We pray for their eternal rest and for your hearts to find peace amidst your longing.
To those who are unwell or finding themselves housebound this Christmas, please know you are not forgotten. We send you our warmest wishes, our prayers for healing, and our hope that the spirit of Christmas finds its way to your homes and your hearts. We miss your presence among us and eagerly await your return when you are able.
Looking back at this year, my heart is filled with an immeasurable appreciation for your unwavering love and support. The dedication you show to our faith, through your prayers, your services, and your commitment to living out the Gospel, is an inspiration to us all. Your presence enriches our parish life immeasurably, and it is a testament to the enduring strength of our shared belief.
This year, however, held a particular poignancy for my own family and me. As you know, we navigated the difficult path of losing my beloved Dad. During that time, the outpouring of love, kindness, and practical support from so many of you was truly extraordinary. Your prayers, your words of comfort, your shared memories, and your generous assistance made a world of difference. It is difficult to find words adequate to express the depth of our gratitude for how you rallied around us, offering a beacon of hope and solidarity during our deepest sorrow. Your care truly embodied the spirit of Christmas, demonstrating the profound impact of community and compassion.
This Christmas, as we celebrate the birth of our Savior, let us remember that He came to bring light to the world. You, my dear parishioners, are that light. Your generosity of spirit, your steadfast faith, and your boundless love are what make this parish a true family.
May the joy of this Christmas season fill your homes and your hearts. May the peace of Christ, born this night, descend upon you and your loved ones. And may the hope that this sacred night brings, renew your spirits, and guide you through the coming year.
With deepest gratitude and love,
Rev. Fr. Jerome Otitoyomi Dukiya C.S.Sp.
